Introducing Kaylee from With Love and Heartness
1. Tell us a little about yourself and what forced you to finally make your blogging debut.
Well, I'm obviously horribly shy, so this won't work at all.* I'm 6'3" with zero basketball skills.
I know, I was dealt a tough hand. I'm also engaged to this guy who is also tall and makes me laugh. I've been to 8 countries throughout my life and my favorite thing ever is champagne. Well, at least for right now it is- I go through drink phases. I just moved from a suburb of Detroit to Pittsburgh, and the most difficult part (besides leaving my bff's and family, duh) is adjusting to people wearing Penguins, Pirates, and Steelers stuff. I'm a college grad not doing anything in my degree (yet). I used to blog in high school with livejournal (who didn't?) and when I graduated from public school, I galavanted around Europe for three months. I began a different blog to document the cute boys, delicious beer, and insanely awesome adventures I was going on. Then in 2010 I needed to entertain myself with stories of the restaurant world, so I began this blog! And here I am. Not shy at all.
*Also, I've never been shy.
2. Why is your blog called With Love and Heartness?
When my brother was in kindergarten he got to write his own Valentine's Day cards and he signed one to his teacher "with love and heartness". My family has used that ever since, and I figured it was a really great way to live life- with all of the love and heartness you can imagine!
Plus, how can you resist listening to advice from a five-year-old?
3. What are you most looking forward to about this summer?
For one, exploring this city. I grew up in a suburb of Detroit, so living near a city that is an actual city is exhilarating. And busy! I'm also looking forward to becoming a full time employee at my job
(benefits! bonus money! paid holidays!) as well as going on our annual trip to Mackinac Island for the sail boat racing my fiance participates in. A week of island life, lots of delicious beer and bike riding sounds good to me! Oh, and planning my wedding. That's a thing I should probably do...
4. What is your dream job?
I'd love to be a social media something for someone in charge. I'm not very good at managing my own social media anymore, but when I put my mind to it, I will tweet/blog/instagram EVERYTHING. I'd also like to get paid to sit in my comfy bed and play online all day. Sadly, that doesn't quite pay as well as I want it to. I also want to be an actress when I grow up. Maybe, I haven't quite figured that out yet. Beyond all of those, I want to be a diplomat and RULE THE WORLD!
