Take a peak at life on the East coast as told through the eyes of Lindley

1. Describe your blog in one sentence.
The Grinning Labrador is a silly and relaxed approach to discussing my life's happenings and all the pretty little nonessentials that make me happy, with a great emphasis on those I love and cannot live without!
2. Your blog is called The Grinning Labrador, how did you come up with this name?
In starting The Grinning Labrador, I knew I would be writing lots about what makes my heart happy and I could not think of a better descriptor than a big dog sporting a big smile! I also grew up with two family labradors (one chocolate, Murphy and one yellow, Riley) and my fiance and I could not resist in making the trio by getting a black labrador of our own, Morgan!
3. Tell us about your other website called The American Vibe.
I have a dear friend from college whom I have always longed to work on a project with. Knowing that I have an affinity for writing and my friend a passion for design, we decided to mash our abilities together into a website housing our appreciation for traditional American culture and contemporary takes on American living!
4. You mentioned you're pretty new to this blogging world, what are your thoughts so far?
I warmed up to starting my own blog after sneaking around a handful of blogs for about six months and learning a bit more about what draws readers in and how best to personify oneself through the web. One thing I have learned as a rookie blogger is that the blogging community (for the most part!) is incredibly cordial and welcoming. It has also been a humbling experience in that many days I simply accept that I may be writing for none other than myself and my family back home as it is not a piece of cake to garner readers!
5. From one dog lover to another, what do you enjoy most about being a dog-momma?
Ha! This question is like bait for me. I look at dog motherhood as baby steps toward having children of my own. Granted I am not even a wife yet (October!) I crave that motherly companionship. Having a little four-legged best bud to cuddle and unconditionally love is better than but very much like having an endless supply of cupcakes and donuts on hand to sweeten my mood all day long!
