Well shit.
It's a little bit rainy. A little bit dreary.
I'm all alone tonight,
so what do I do to entertain myself?
I bought me the scratchies.
I knew I had the fever the second I didn't win the jackpot last night.
It didn't help when this girl left a comment telling me about a person in her
"small town" who won $50,000 off one of these babies.
It wasn't five minutes after I finished reading that comment that I put on my rain boots
and headed down to the 7/11 on my corner.
Speaking of, have I told you how much I like rain boots?
That may be my favorite thing about Chicago.
Everybody wears rain boots here. Like all the time.
Although Chris has told me on more than one occasion that I might wear mine a little too much.
I can't help it. They're the flip flops of winter. And fall. And spring.
It's rained here almost every day this week.
So I was more than delighted to get the boots out for the season again.
I've missed them.
And I won't pretend that I've hated this weather.
