Remember When.

Here’s a little segment I like to call Remember When.

Remember when Dunkaroos and Fruit by the Foot were the best snacks to have? Doritos 3-ds were pretty bomb too. And then maybe a Baby Bottle Pop and a bubblegum CD for dessert.

Remember when Coed Naked shirts were cool? Me neither. Or $65 Von Dutch trucker hats. Or JNCO pants. Z. Cavaricci?

What about how kids took Ritalin instead of Adderall? I wonder if college kids took Ritalin too, or did they just drink Surge for a quick jolt of energy?

Remember when Michelle fell off her horse and got amnesia? Maybe that’s why the Olsen twins seem to forget they got their start on Full House. Remember before Laguna Beach when MTV had a reality show called Rich Girls starring Ali Hilfiger and her fat friend? She was the first person I saw in Uggs, what happened to her?

And remember when caller I.D. was a detached box you had to buy separate? And remember how awesome of a game Snake was to play on your Nokia cell phone? And when you wanted to order a taco pizza from Pizza Hut you had to look in the phone book.

Remember when all you wanted was a Talkboy? Speaking of technology, remember Tomagatchis and Furbys? And remember the movie Grimlins? That one still freaks me out. Hang Time gives me the eebie jeebies too. Why was there a girl on the guys basketball time?

And were the parents on Step by Step married, or did they just live together? Remember when people used AskJeeves instead of Google? Or was that just me? Remember when we had to have tutorials in grade school about “the online internet.” Remember how awesome AOL/MSN messenger was on the weekends?

What about gel pens? And “talk to the hand?!” That one needs to come back. So does Lou Vega… Mambo #5! And bull-cuts. I’d love to see Chris walking around with a saucy bull-cut and a Nebraska Starter jacket to match. And some cool Sambas. And me in my yellow stitched Dr. Martens.
