As for today...

Considering it was 10 degrees outside today with a side of frozen nostril hairs and a wind so bitey it made your eyes water, it was definitely one of the better Saturday's I've had in awhile.

For starters, I went to yoga at 10:00 this morning. I'd just like to note this was probably the first time I've worked out on a Saturday since 2006. It was nuts. But I kind of liked it. It was a 75 minute Vinyasa class which I was initially pretty nervous about. I struggle to work out for 30 minutes let alone 75. And for those of you who scoff at the phrase "work out" when used with "yoga" well I dare you to attend a Power Yoga Chicago class and not leave drenched in sweat and overcome with the "ummmmmmmmmms."

When the instructor namaste'd us, letting us know it was time to leave, I was pretty damn proud of myself for sticking it out the entire class. Until a bitchy house wife, decked from head to toe in obnoxious Lulu gear, stuck her hand in the air and promptly announced "isn't today supposed to be a 75 minute class? It's only been an hour." Bitch. I left anyway.

Next stop: Trader Joes. But not without a pit stop to the oyster house right across the street. It was dark, it was cozy, and the decor was Christmas lights. Definitely my kind of place to spend a Saturday afternoon on a freezing day in February.

In preparation of our trip to Italy next month we decided on lasagna and bruschetta for the night. That just doesn't get old, "in preparation of Italy next month"...
